The season is winding down, the trash talking hasn’t.
For the fourth straight week… absolutely nothing has changed.
At this point, the standings are less of a competition and more of a historical monument.
Ron McKenzie, George Bushee, and Jod Holcomb remain locked into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd like nobody told them the season is still going.
Top scores? Also untouched:
- Joe still owns the big game with 287
- Jeff is sitting at 278
- Brad is hanging around with 255
Top series:
- Joe: 689
- Jeff: 643
- Brad: 641
Most improved:
- Ron: +21 (apparently improvement stops once you hit first place)
- Carl: +18
- Brad: +13
High averages:
- Joe: 183
- Jeff: 179
- George: 173
Women’s Division
Let’s save time.
Mary.
Top game (248), top series (599), high average (164). At this point we’re just checking to make sure she’s human.
Vickie is the most improved at +4, and Bubba is still reading her tip book like it’s going to suddenly unlock bowling superpowers.
It has not.
The Stretch Run (Now It Matters… Supposedly)
With three weeks left, we are officially entering “things could get interesting” territory.
Ron is sitting on a 10½ point lead. Translation: unless he starts bowling with his opposite hand, eyes closed, or both… this thing is over.
The real battle is behind him, or is it? He still has to face Brad.
George holds a 5-point lead over Joe for 2nd place. With 12 points still out there, Joe has a legit shot to move up.
And here’s where it gets crowded—
Brad and Carl are tied for 4th, and both sit just 2½ points behind Joe.
Which means both of them can still win their way into 3rd place… assuming they stop threatening each other long enough to actually bowl.
The “Main Event” Nobody Asked For
This week features the highly anticipated…
Brad vs. Ron matchup.
Two of the league’s most dedicated trash-talkers are finally going head-to-head. Not because the schedule demanded it—but because their mouths did.
Brad comes in red hot:
- Undefeated for 4 weeks
- Jumped from 9th to tied for 4th
- Average up 4 pins
Biggest improvement?
He now arrives before Game 2.
League Investigations (Ongoing & Probably Unnecessary)
With the season winding down, most teams have stopped trying to bring in outside “help.”
George has not.
He is reportedly still attempting to contact either Tonya Harding or Luigi in an effort to secure first place. Early projections show this plan has “zero percent chance of working.”
Brad continues to claim Ron has blackmailed the scorekeeper.
Ron continues to win.
Draw your own conclusions.
Carl was heard discussing either:
- stealing Brad’s ball
- tripping him mid-approach
Nobody is sure which. Possibly both.
League officials are pretending not to hear any of this.
Final Notes
Bubba is still taking lessons from Mary.
Mary is still Mary.
And with three weeks left, we’re all just waiting to see:
- who finishes where
- who talks the most
- and whether anyone actually follows through on these “plans”
