Professional Women’s Bowling Returns to Columbus

The Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) is bringing high-stakes action to Central Ohio with the 2025 PWBA Greater Columbus Regional, set to take place at the HPL Bowling Center located at 2012 Innis Rd., Columbus, OH. This exciting one-day event will be held on Sunday, August 17. It will be showcasing some of the finest talent in women’s professional bowling. Registration opens on July 7 at 10 a.m. Central Time and closes on August 15 at 8 a.m. Central, offering a prime opportunity for both established professionals and rising stars to enter the field.

One-Day Format Brings Intensity to Professional Women’s Bowling

The entire competition will be packed into a single day, starting with an official practice session at 8:00 a.m., giving competitors 30 minutes to get warmed up and dialed in. At 10:00 a.m., bowlers will hit the lanes for eight games of qualifying. The pressure will be high, as only the top four competitors will move on to the final stage—the BowlTV Stepladder Finals at 4:00 p.m. These finals will be streamed live, offering fans across the country a chance to witness the drama unfold.

Open to All Professional Women Bowlers

This regional is open to all professional women bowlers, making it one of the most exciting and competitive events on the PWBA calendar. It’s designed to bring together top-tier national competitors with talented regional players who are working to break through onto the PWBA Tour. Events like these are vital to the growth of the sport and provide essential experience and exposure for future stars.

Who Will Be in the Field?

With registration not yet finalized, fans are eagerly asking: Who will make the trip to Columbus? Will Lindsay Boomershine roll into town to defend her reputation as one of the tour’s most consistent players? Will Breanna Clemmer, with her smooth mechanics and rising-star energy, take a shot at the title? And what about Daria Pajak, the dynamic international competitor known for her fire and flair? What about Dayton Ohio’s Shannon Pluhowsky? Will she make the hour long trip to compete in a regional event?

While the final list of participants won’t be available until mid-August, the potential for a stacked lineup is high.
